In 2005, my son, Joel, iLeonard, invited me to spend some time with him on the island of Roatan, A place unknown to me in spite of the fact that it is only a short flight from Tegucigalpa, where I live. I really did not know what to expect in this s,all island territory of Honduras, which was so often covered in national and international publications. The day after our arrival we started our tour by land as planned by our host, who prepared me for what I was about to encounter.
There was beauty in very corner, From the beginning of the tip I felt all worries become insignificant in the natural beauty that surrounded us. The next day we board a Spanish sailboat and circled the island, overtake but the serene essay thats hard to imagine anywhere else in the world.
During our stay in Roatan, I enjoyed not only the beauty and abundance if the beaches, mangroves, reefs, fauna, and flora but also it’s seasoned climate culture, in which different ethnic groups, both native and european, have given it’s population a picture and interesting pluralistic tone, pleasant to observe.
On the same level as the natural beauty of the island and the warm kindness of it’s inhabitants, I was impressed by the island infrastructure for tourism, which includes both marine and land sports. All these make staying in Roatan an unforgettable adventure.
Returning home, I realized that Roatan deserved it’s own quality book of tourism dedicated to those people whiled it’s story as well as those whose passion for travel leads them to satisfy their senses and experience the people and places in the world that are truly worth knowing.
Roatan it truly a paradise on earth ~
